In a previous post I discussed how to use PLR content to create small reports, specifically PLR Articles. So now that you’ve created a report on your niche subject the question is:
How do you use the report and what can you do with it?
The main purpose of creating a small report is to use it as a marketing and sales tool. The report will provide your readers, prospects and customers with relevant good quality information that they are searching for and in return you get the opportunity to gain their trust, build relationships, and promote products and services to a receptive audience.
Here are 3 things you can do with Small Reports that will help to get you known as an authority in your niche and grow your customer list.
Give the report away for free
- in exchange for an email address to build your list of subscribers
- totally free with no opt-in required to promote and spread your brand virally.
Sell the report with Resell Rights
- sell your report with the option for the buyer to resell the report for profit. This will create good will not only with your customer but also with those who buy it from your customers.
- This will encourage your customers to make your report more viral because they now have the ability to sell it and keep the profits.
Make the report Brandable
- Make the report customizable, in other words, wherever you have an affiliate link inside the report (whether it’s your own program or someone else’s) allow those who download the report from you to replace some or all of those links with their own links.
- This is a great way to not only motivate people to pick up your report, but pass it on as well.

I use Viral PDF for rebranding and use small reports extensively. It is a good way to generate affiliate land mines.

Three good ways to take PLR content and make into a product that you can use to enhance your business. What do you recommend to convert your small report to a pdf file? I use Open Office but it invariability leaves one or two links un-clickable?

Hi Lonnie, I use Adobe Acrobat Writer to create PDF’s but program is not free. It’s actually quite expensive. The other option you’re already using – Open Office. I’m not sure why you get unclickable links. It maybe some setting within the program.

You have listed some great ways to get your report out to the masses and brand yourself as an expert.
Anything you can do to get others promoting your product is going to be a winning strategy in the long run.

Great idea!
One added idea to make the report go a bit further and to create more value (can sell for a higher price) is to record a video/audio of the topics covered in the report. Why not go a step further and add the audio version, or even go further and make videos showing the reader how to do whatever the report is talking about.
This can really boost up the value of the product.

I just added another site for some PLR content to my list.
I am hoping it will help me once I get back to the day job.
I love to write, but I also need at least 5 hours sleep a night. Maybe 6 during the school year.
