5 Steps To Quickly Build Your Subscriber List

Welcome back

5 Steps To Quickly Build Your Subscriber List

When I first started working online all I heard and read about was “It’s all in the list – “the money is in the list” There’s a good reason why this statement is heard so often; because it’s true. Without a subscriber list, opt-in list,  mailing list, customer list or whatever you want to call it your online business will grow very slowly.

List building is the one aspect of your internet business which needs to be worked on first, with the most importance and the most consistency of any internet business process. Your list will become your means to income, and without money your business venture can’t proceed.

I now truly understand the importance of obtaining a targeted subscriber list and have been concentrating on doing just that. Keep in mind that there is a small investment that you’ll need to make in order to start building your list, an autoresponder service. I personally use Aweber as it’s inexpensive and has a great deal of features that will grow with you.

Aweber will also avoid you spamming any new subscriber as it’s a double opt-in system that requires confirmation and consent from the subscriber.

Here are 5 steps to start building your list

  1. When you are creating your website, be sure to insert an opt-in box for people to subscribe to your mailing list. This is a necessary feature for those who find you through search engines, articles, social media sites or just stumble accros your site.
  2. Writing articles on the topics you intend to promote and submit them to article directories. Make them rich in keywords, and remember to put your name and website information on the bottom of each article. That way prospects can find your opt-in form and sign up.
  3. Joint ventures are a fantastic way to build your list quickly. This is a great opportunity for getting your name noticed, and having people sign up to receive what you have to offer. When it comes to free products or services, many visitors don’t object to leaving their contact information in order to receive their goods.
  4. Adding an additional related paid bonus to your free gift download page can also get some money rolling in as you build your list. There are many people who will appreciate the chance of getting a good deal especially if it’s related to the free product they signed up for.
  5. Add free reports or other incentives for sign-ups directly from your website. Keep a specific report especially for those who sign up to your mailing list from your website itself. This will let them know that you value them right from the start.

Once your list grows, you can keep it running smoothly by converting free customers to paid customers. Start small by offering eBooks or other low-ticket items. You can gradually increase these to reports, audios or anything else which can fill the need your customers have. Once your list is strong, your business will be too.

Your right, building a list is very important.

There are business models which don’t require you to build a list, but like you said, it will help you a lot to grow faster if you can.

If people use those tips you gave, they will be well on their way to success with a big list.

Some really good list building ideas. They are all rather productive. I especially like the JV part of it as this is being introduced to me now and I can see the benefits. Actually ends up being a win-win situation for everyone involved. Will be getting involved with it a lot more.

You got it Luca!

Without a list the only people you have to market to are the people who you can get to stop by your site. This is all well and good, except for the one fact that you only have a few seconds to make an impression and then they are either gone, or they might stick around if you are good, or lucky.

Then you only have one shot to get them to buy. Not very good odds if you ask me.

By building a list you are able to continually follow up with prospects. You know that they are at least interested enough in what you have to offer to have at least given up a name and email address to get your free offer.

I have heard a lot of numbers thrown around as to how much each subscriber is worth per month, and while I know that I don’t come very close to that number, I definitely wouldn’t be doing near as well as I have been able to if I didn’t have my list.
