PLR Articles: How to Choose a Good PLR Membership Service
By Nicole Dean
Private Label Rights (PLR) articles are hot right now. The only problem is that many people have tried them and been very disappointed. I can’t say I blame them. I’ve been disappointed, too.
Oftentimes, the PLR Membership services you may have tried are lacking in several areas. So, what makes a good PLR service and how can you make sure that you don’t waste you money on a bad one?
Here are some questions to ask yourself before investing any money into a PLR Membership or package.
1. What topics are you getting?
I mean, seriously, if you are promised 100 articles each month, but you end up receiving a selection on Laser Hair Removal and Divorce, when all your websites are about cooking… You just wasted money.
2. What quality are you getting?
Say you’re lucky enough to get a series of articles on your topic. Take a minute to look at them. Are they pure fluff? I’ve paid for articles that had no original ideas, or worse, were written so poorly that there’s no possible way I’d put them on my website. Make sure your PLR membership or package contains quality articles. Otherwise, you just wasted money.
3. How many other people are getting the exact same articles?
If 1000 other people signed up to get the same articles, are you really receiving any value? Perhaps, if you don’t mind reworking the articles. However, if you’d like more unique articles, then you may consider a more limited PLR membership service.
4. Does the PLR membership or package give you any extras?
Are they offering training on ways to use their PLR articles? Do they provide you with ways to monetize the articles you’ve purchased? Some PLR sites will include recommended affiliate programs and training on how to use their articles to get the most benefits from their service.
Really assess the value you’re receiving when investing in any PLR package or service so that you don’t end up wasting your money. I don’t want you to make the same mistakes I did.

I would also recommend evaluating how many people actually using the content they purchase. Too many buy it and never actually use the content provided.
Do a Google search on a Title of several articles for exact results using quotes and see how many results turn up. This would indicate how many actual competitors you have to beat

Hi Alex,
That is a great point. It’s always good to check how many copies are already out there. I would recommend that the PLR articles be re-written to add your own take on the subject. Thanks for stopping by

I have a huge collection of PLR articles. Some of them come with branding rights and others want you to pay for them. I have used very few of them. It is overwhelming to get a package of material like that and then have to sift through them to see what you want to use. I think choosing your specific areas of interest would be beneficial.
I wonder how many people who buy PLR articles actually end up using them.
By the way, this is an awesome blog. I love the template.

Hi Rocque,
Thanks for visiting and for your kind words about my blog.
I agree that many people don’t use the PLR that they have acquired. That’s why I really like EasyPlr, they have a nice assortment of packages and you know what you’re getting before you buy. The quality is excellent as well

While I know many people want to use PLR as is for their content, I prefer to rewrite mine. But it has to be good quality PLR to start with. I have seen some that does not give a hint of what should be written.
The service I now use gives great content, including the keyword research that was used for the series.

Hi Rodney,
I agree, it’s best to rewrite PLR content especially if it’s being submitted to article directories.

When people are going to use PLR, it is best to gather what they can, and if they are going to be using the articles, I hope they can add some of their own personality to the rewrite.

I have never used PLR before – but was considering looking into it, so the advice on this post was very useful. It raised some questions I had not thought about.

Luca, your question “What topics are you getting?” is very important. I do not at the present time belong to a PLR membership site and that is the reason. Each month I would get PLR products that I knew that I would never use. So, now I generally just wait for a PLR package that I know I can use.

Thanks for the informative resource about PLR. I always am looking for good sources of content. It’s hard to find good (or any for that matter) PLR about project management. Let me know if you run across any!
