Hey Luca ~ Yes, you beat me to it! Great video and you did a nice job with the pan/zoom ;) Since I’ve already told readers I’d do a video on this … I’ll embed yours and give you thanks! It will be a good way to teach them about embedding videos on your blog too. Hey … maybe a video of me doing that? LOL. *huGs*

Hey Suzanne,
Thanks for stopping by. The more videos I do the easier it gets. I have a long way to go but getting better. Thanks for the offer of adding my video to your blog. I love your idea of you doing a video showing how to embed a video. You’re always thinking.

Hey Luca,

A real nice video with lots of good information. Yes, Twitter just seems to keep getting stronger. I know it will fade eventually but for now, go with the flow. Thanks.

Yes, the re-tweet buttons can be a great way to expose your site to new viewers. With Twitter being so popular, it’s only going to grow. But some niche markets may still not be that familiar with it, so it does depend on your blog topic if you should have the button or not.

Good point Joel but I do think that Twitter is becoming more and more mainstream. You know see and hear it mentioned on TV and radio broadcasts as well.

Great idea Luca,

It is something that I have been planning on doing for quite some time, but one of those things I have just never gotten around to. I think it’s time to fix that!

Thanks

Anything that allows your readers to spread your gospel is good to add. Integrating other sources like Twitter, Facebook, Friednd Feed, et al helps to spread the word which increases your traffic. Quality content is needed like what you provided here to get the nmost from your efforts though.

I only retweet if I like the content and think that my followers will enjoy the post. Your point is well taken that quality content is very important

Great info on building traffic via twitter. I was surprised how well this works when I first started using it. I also like setting the twitter profile link to a page on your blog specifically setup for readers who arrive via twitter. Thanks Luca.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the comment. I just vistited your site and retweeted your last post on Google Wave. Will look into it soon. I just wanted to mention that when I retweeted the prefix was @tweetmeme so you won’t get notification from people retweeting. If you’d like to you can change that in the Tweetmeme settings so the prefix is @yourtwitterid. The video will show you how to do it. Hope to see ytou back again

Great post on using Tweetmeme and similar plugins, Luca! Any means of automating the crossover between your blog and the social networking sites is a bonus, including this, MyBlogLog, having your posts show up on your LinkedIn profile page, etc.

The object of it all is to get more readers to your blog and ultimately onto your opt-in list, and the more you can do to automate that process and/or benefit from the efforts of others is a major bonus!

Hey Doug,
I agree that Twitter is only a small part of getting traffic to your blog. The others you mention can also be used to drive traffic. As a matter of fact I have not looked into MyBlogLog or Linkendin in a long time. Thanks for the reminder – I’ll add those to my traffic building strategies.

Simple yet very useful Twitter tutorials! We can deny the fact that most people are into Twitter. Most especially those people involved in internet marketing, blogging, etc.

Nice video. This plugin does a great job :-) There are lots of social sites where we can join for more traffic such as Facebook, BlogCatalog, yousaytoo etc. But to maintain all we need lots of time.

I’ve always loved these retweet plugins as they make my life way easier. And now, you can even easily retweet a Twitter post with the site’s upgrades that provides a button for easier retweeting.
Thanks for sharing this one! I’m sure I can have a go at Tweetmeme and Big Tweet.
