How to use PLR Content to build a relationship with your readers

In a previous post I discussed how you can use PLR content in your newsletter or ezine. Today I’d like to show you how PLR Content can be utilized to build relationships with your readers.

Content is very important to any online business. I’m sure you’ve heard the term “Content is King” and it’s very true. Let’s face it the reason people are online is to find information, if you don’t provide the info they’re looking for or if it’s of poor quality then they’ll loose interest quickly and move on to other online resources. That’s plain and simple.

So in order to have your web visitors stay longer, come back on a regular basis and eventually become a customer, it’s imperative to give them what they’re looking for and need – good quality content related to their needs.

Even if you’re an expert authority in your niche there will be times that even you will need some fresh ideas and content to share with your readers. PLR Membership sites are a great resource of content that can be used for this purpose.

PLR articles and PLR eBooks are an easy and inexpensive way to get new information and ideas for your niche. This added authority content will help to build trust and relationships with your readers. The goal is to get your readers interested in what you are talking about, make them want to come back and THEN to sell them something that they need. Not until you’ve established that bond with your reader will you get any sales under your belt.

Take the time to find some PLR articles you can use to reach your readers. Build upon those articles and find ways you can incorporate promotions.

That being said, don’t get stuck in the trap of giving your readers tons of information and never asking for a sale. If you want to make money you’re going to have to ask for it at some point.

So use PLR content to help build a relationship and trust with your readers and then you’ll be able to ask for a sale for your own product, service or an affiliate product. People are more apt to buy from someone they know and trust even in the online world.

All good points but the key to using PLR is to add your voice to it. The unique part of your business ios always you and you need to make sure you add that into your PLR usage.

There are some great resources that you list to obtain PLR material that I wasn’t even aware of.

Thanks!

Keep up the great work!

I like Mike’s idea about using the content but make into your own voice. Nothing turns off your readers more than them getting the same cookie cutter sounding content they hear and see all the time. They know your voice and writing style so make that content yours. After all that is what you bought it for, right? Thanks for sharing.

Those are some great resources you have given Luca,

I am either a member or very familiar with all but a couple of them and they are top if the line.

PLR is great for getting ideas on topics to write about!

Great list you have put together for your readers.

I agree 100%… PLR is a fantastic way to build a relationship with your readers. But it can go both ways, good and bad if you aren’t careful to pick the right content to use. It should always be something that they can learn from or find interesting… not just words on the page for them to read.

I’ve become so busy that I think that PLR is the way to go – I simply don’t have enough time to create enough content to stay in touch with my subscribers. Thanks for the links.

Not that I do it, but know I should. I think the key is to have a strong sense of theme to your emails, with perhaps a monthly focus on one aspect of your main theme. Then find PLR to serve as content, but break into pieces. This would allow you to plan content for a month at one sitting, rather than struggling each day to come up with something worthwhile to say.

Great piece on using PLR, Luca!

Here’s another tip for your readers… When using PLR for your blog, when possible, don’t use PLR articles but instead extract article information from PLR e-books and base your articles on that. Doing it that way not only makes your PLR unique, but uses a different source of information than most of your competition will be using.

Thanks for sharing this information. I have access to PLR articles, and most are somewhat dated. However I believe I can update them and get some great content this way.
It is great to see your support of this blog.

Thanks for the great list of resources Luca.
I am enjoying each update to your blog. It got me to start searching out all of the PLR articles and series that I have.
Now I just need to take action to go through them and make them my own.

There is no excuse for writer’s block when you have affordable access to PLR content.

“Content is King” is about like “The money is in the list”. But as we all know both are true. Good content is essential to help you build relationships with your readers and PLR is just another resource that can be used to help you in writing good content post for your readers. Thanks for the good info and list of sources.

I have avoided PLR for a while but was stashing it away none-the-less.

I have a writer in the Phillipines who writes articles for some of my sites for $4.00 per 400-word article. This month I had a tight budget so I had her do article rewrites (using my stash of PLR) instead. She charges only $.007 per word for rewrites. So essentially I was able to get the same amount of content for a lot less money – and since she is rewriting it, it is not completely duplicate either. So far, for me, this has been the best use I have found for PLR articles!

And I think I will continue to do this as well, it allows me to get lots of content up which is still useful for my readers but costs a bit less :)

I have never used a out source for writing. I know a few people who do. Is it difficult to find someone. I usually just sit down and write away…now I am distracted by the bunny in my yard.

Thanks for sharing your comment.

Great information here. What I finally realize is that not all PLR articles are created equal. The challenge is to find good quality content that will benefit your readers one way or another. If your readers know they can benefit from what you give them, they will be more incline to believe that what you sell them will benefit them as well. Thanks for the post.

Another great recommendation, I only want to add one thing – if using PLR content in eZine, be sure to check it for accuracy.

Good point Alex – sometimes PLR stuff is not the best grammatically. It is worthwhile checking it to make sure that it reads well.
